Menu “slowdown” in original firmware after installation of Dualboot? You decide.

Here is a video of the “slowdown” I experienced after installing Dingux Dualboot:

There does appear to be a slight slowdown but it just add a touch of sluggishness, as you can see.  It doesn’t seem worth worrying about as the menu is still perfectly usable.

Comments

  1. Mine is far more sluggish than that. Maybe it has something to do with the type of ram chips in it. Not that I would know, just speculating.

  3. Plugged into external power it is no longer sluggish and screen tearing is also still fixed. Very strange.

  4. I've noticed a slowdown with my dingoo whenever I use the mini sd and have a lot of files on it. I wonder if this has to do with the mini sd access. I dont even have dingux on my unit yet. I'm using an Adata 8gb micro class 6 with micro to mini adapter, and version 1.3 on the dingoo. It also will freeze when I fill it up with mp3's and try to use the all playing and generate a playlist. If I bring the mp3's down to less than 1300 it seems to work fine. Is this a known issue with the mp3 player.

  5. anonymous#4: Good notice. The number of small files might explain why some users suffer more then others.
Anyway, boobo is already about to fix dual-boot so the original firmware will be untouched. He also provided example-code someone might want to use to make a software that can change the lcd-frequency inside the original firmware, so everybody would be happy ;).
