Dingoo review on Techradar.com

I just noticed this review on techradar.com.  As the Dingoo becomes increasingly viable, more and more sites are covering it, which can only be a good thing!

  1. "In a routine session with the console it is common to see a user lurch from love to undying hatred and back in a single breath."

Heh, aint that the truth. :)

  2. In my opinion that was an incredibly fair and accurate review.

Sure there are rough spots on this gem, both in Native OS and in Dingux, but if one is willing to accept those flaws the gaming rewards make up for it VERY VERY nicely.

Even as a newcomer, if you can get at least a couple/few of some kind of your favorite game working on the thing it's usually enough to keep you happy while tinker with it and work things out.

Part of what you have to be ready for is the fact that playing games on emulators is many times going to require a little bit of fiddling to make things work as well as possible, no matter the platform you're playing on.

  3. "Designed to remain an underground console, the dingoo A320 is building momentum thanks to its bargain price, out of the box support for classic emulators, and a vibrant development scene - thanks to its open source nature"

    Should read:

"Designed to make a quick buck, the dingoo A320 is building momentum thanks to its bargain price, out of the box emulators ripped off open source developers, and a vibrant development scene - in spite of its closed-source nature and uncooperative manufacturer, thanks to a spanish developer reverse-engineering the hardware."

    Fixed.
If there's one thing I hate, it's people trying to make money off of and claiming other's hard work and good will as their own creation.

Much as I love the dingoo, we all know that Booboo's the guy responsible for the only open-source element of it; at least if you ignore the formerly open-source emulators that Shenzen Dingoo stole.
