Finally a comic viewer for our dingoos!
Note: you need a swap file to use this

This is the initial release of Comic Book Viewer for Small Screens (CBZViewSS).
It's capable of viewing CBZ comic books with JPEG files (quite known format) on Dingux-based devices (320x240)
Supported formats
CBZ comic books with JPEG files. For other formats use Jomic - http://jomic.sourceforge.net/ - it supports conversion to CBZ with JPEG.
System requirements
Dingux device with 320x240 resolution. SWAP-enabled kernel and SWAP file for Dingoo A320 with 32mb ram. Didn't have any problems with 64mb A330, but anyway, consider using SWAP. Comix ARE HUGE.
Installing
Put CBZViewSS.dge to the desired folder of your SD card. Make a shortcut in gMenu/dMenu with ability to pick .cbz file.
Running
.cbz file name should be passed to a programm as a parameter. So, take care about correct gMenu/dMenu shortcut with ability to pick-up a target file.
After first run you will see some debug output in terminal, then program starts.
Attention: there is a known bug - first page is rendered incorrectly (black screen), so push d-pad left-right to refresh the screen.

B-Page down
X-Page up
Y-"Line feed" - autoscroll down for a viewport height and move left (most comics have left-to-right reading order, aren't they ? and we had spare button :-))
A+DPad - pixel scroll
R-ZOOM
L-UNZOOM
Start+Select - Exit
Known bugs
Incorrect first page render. See "Running" section for workaround. Still cannot do anything about it.
Non-jpeg files inside cbz cause segfault. Workaround - remove them manually from archive (just delete with your favourite archiving program)

The nice folk at isharegifts gracefully sent me a sample Dingoo A380 for review. Having declared my pecuniary interest, in truth though, after playing with this new Dingoo, bribery and graft is strictly unnecessary for its promotion.  IMHO, the product does stand on its own merits.  It remains a testament to the original A320, and its rabid, passionate community (hey, that’s us dudes) that even in 2011, some 3 years after the word “Dingoo” became somewhat a part of the English language,  that it still remains the best Dingoo-type device.  This is because it is still the best supported, thanks to Booboo’s original Dingux, and now OpenDingux.  Dingux means access to emulators and software other than those that came with the original A320’s native uCos firmware.  Dingux allows for ports of games like Doom and Duke Nukem.  Dingux is what turned the A320 from a glorified media player into the device we know and love. A somewhat new game for Dingux from ZX-81: Dingux-Mancala: A Mancala Game v1.1.0 for Dingoo/Dingux Hi All, Mancala is a board game familly, originated in East Africa. The word "Mancala" came from arabic word "naqalah" that means literaly "To move". Dingux-Mancala is the "Awari" variant, and even if the rule of this game is simple, the complexity can be compared to chess Game. The AI is based on the source code of H. Huseby & G.T. Tauon PC-1 review

You should give this a chance. It deserves one. Welcome to the Tauon PC-1. A Tauon is an incredibly  geeky sciency thing , as it happens, and has nothing to do with the  Great Eastern Philosopher . You won't find it for sale anywhere other than on Tauon's website , and on ebay so far as I can see,  and then only if you're a regular visitor of the ebay "vintage computer hardware" category.  It won't even turn up on ebay if you search for the product name: "Tauon PC1"  - you'll just stumble upon it one day, when you're looking for a replacement floppy drive, or a C64.  So, what is it? It's a computer in a dinky little case! I’ve just come across this link , which appears to be fairly well maintained, of what appears to be all the A380 emulators and other community software, on one easy to find page!  This is a great resource – not hard to find, and sorry it’s late news – but better late than never!
